RESEARCH:
I have over 100 publications and have presented more than 100 papers at professional meetings. My publications have recently focused on public policy (AIDS policy at the state and local levels; I am also currently embarking on a research project exploring political forces affecting students' performance in schools), political behavior, judicial process (especially on the U. S. Supreme Court oral argument process and its consequences), political psychology (for instance, the influence of birth order on political behavior). I am generally interested in cross-disciplinary linkages, such as the relationship between biology and politics, psychology and politics, literary theory (such as poststructuralism) and politics. I have authored (or co-authored or co-edited) numerous books. (Curriculum Vitae PDF)
