I am currently working as a postdoc with Lee Giles in the Intelligent Information Systems Research Lab. My research focuses on machine learning for text analytics, data mining, and software architecture, particularly in the realm of digital libraries. More generally, I am interested in useful web tools, interesting measurements, automated system administration, and service-oriented software design. My work often relates to the CiteSeer Digital Library, which I maintain, and CiteSeerX, which I built during my postdoc tenure.

UPDATE 07/26/08: After many fantastic years working with Lee Giles and the CiteSeer project, I have left CiteSeer and Penn State to take a job at IBM Almaden. It has been a great pleasure.
