Military Telephones I've used at Fort Lewis, WA
This website is dedicated to the military telephones and switchboard I used while I was stationed at Fort Lewis (Washington) from 1984-1987. As the sole communications soldier for Direct Support Battery 1/4 Air Defense Artillery, I was responsible for twenty-five TA-312 and TA-1 telephone sets and two SB-22 Switchboards. Over the course of three years, I successfully managed and deployed these phone units in the field for my Company in both woodland and desert settings. As a result, I was promoted from Private (E1) to Specialist (E4) in less than a year with the Unit. The following pages describe my military use of the phones in the field along with operational instructions.
This site was created by William Caldwell for an IST 250 class project.
