Declative

Factual knowledge represented by schemata, propositional networks and mental images. Learn this type of knowledge through accretion and conceptual restructuring. Assess this type of learning thorugh recognition or recall of information. Answers the question, "What?"

Procedural

Knowlege of procedures or actions that is represented by productions, plans or scripts. Once learned, this type of knowledge becomes automatized and fluent. Assess through performance-based assessments. Answers the question, "How?"

Conditional

Understanding when, where and for what reason to use factual and procedural knowledge, and is represented by condition-action rules or if-then statements. Learn through personalization of practiced routines. Assessed by problem-solving activities.
