Who are the needleworkers?

|
KnittanyLion.jpgWe are a group of faculty, staff, students and friends at the Penn State Brandywine campus that began in 2003 making blankets for Project Linus. Project Linus is a national volunteer organization that provides blankets to children in hospitals to give the kids a sense of security, just like the character from the comic strip. But we have expanded our efforts beyond blankets! In addition, we are creating hats/scarves/mittens for Cradles to Crayons, blankets for animals shelters for The Snuggles Project, Huggy Pillows for cardiac recovery patients, pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer, newborn caps for Save the Children, and more!

Be sure to check out our sister group we manage, the Delaware County, PA, chapter of Handmade Especially for You, making scarves for women survivors of abuse and violence.
