Thirteen posters, five talks, and one panel were presented by undergraduate students and faculty in the CUR-sponsored session titled "Faculty and Student Perspectives on Undergraduate Research: Models, Challenges, and Best Practices" at the combined Northeastern/Southeastern Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Sunday, March 14, 2010, in Baltimore, Maryland.
Fifty-eight posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the combined North-Central/South-Central Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Monday, April 12, 2010, in Branson, Missouri.

Fifteen posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the Rocky Mountain Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Thursday, April 22, 2010, in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Thirty-three posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the Cordilleran Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The meeting was held jointly with the Pacific Section of AAPG.  The session was held on Thursday, May 27, 2010, in Anaheim, California.
Twenty-one posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the Rocky Mountain Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in Orem, Utah.
Thirty-nine posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the North-Central Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Thursday, April 2, 2009, in Rockford, Illinois.
Thirteen posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the South-Central Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Monday, March 16, 2009, in Dallas, Texas.

2009 - Southeastern Section, GSA

Forty-nine posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the Southeastern Section meeting of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Friday, March 13, 2009, in Saint Petersburg, Florida.  An additional 23 undergraduate students presented their research in topic-specific sessions.

  • Undergraduate Research (Posters).
    Cosponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research-Geosciences Division.
    • For this session, which seeks to highlight the research contributions of undergraduates in the geosciences, presenters must be undergraduate students. Submissions to this session will be co-listed within appropriate topical or disciplinary sessions, to highlight undergraduate student contributions to the varied geoscience subdisciplines. Student research results from National Science Foundation-Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) and like programs are welcome.

    Forty-three posters were presented by undergraduate students in the CUR-sponsored undergraduate research session at the combined Rocky Mountain and Cordilleran Section meetings of the Geological Society of America.  The session was held on Thursday, March 20, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
