·        This activity allows the students to practice what they are working on.

Body of the Lesson:

o       The teacher will say a multiplication problem.

o       Everyone will be quiet and raise his or her hand to tell an answer to a problem.

o       The teacher will call on someone to tell the answer of that problem.

o       If anyone has that number on his or her Bingo card, place a Bingo chip on the square containing that number.

o       This process will continue until someone has five Bingo chips in a straight line on his or her card.

·      Play “Math Bingo”

·        Play as many games in the twenty-minute time frame as possible.

·        After the twenty-minute time frame, tell students to place their Bingo chips in one pile on the corner of their desks.

·       Gather up all of the Bingo chips.

·        Ask teaching assistant on this day to pass out multiplication puzzle worksheets.

·        Tell students that they are to work on this page alone.

·        The students will answer the multiplication problems at the bottom of the page.

·        They will then fill in the squares at the top of the page that have those numbers.

·        After completing all of the problems and filling in all of the squares, students will write what the puzzle is a picture of at the bottom of the page.

·        Students will hand this page in when they are finished.

·        If some students finish early, they will read a book quietly until everyone has completed the assignment.

·        Did the lesson help them practice multiplication facts?

·        Did the student raise his or her hand to answer questions during “Math Bingo?”

·        Did the student not shout out answers?

·        Did the students complete the puzzle sheet?

·        Are the answers correct on the puzzle sheet?
