Dear Vi,

I would like to know what policy other restaurants have for the server to tip the bus help and bartender.

Dear Barbara,

Some restaurants require servers to tip a certain percentage of their sales, say 10% to the busser and 5% to the service bartender. I've seen a percentage automatically deducted from the server's charge tips. Others prefer a free form with each server responsible for tipping their own busser. A few restaurants will pay the bussers a decent earnings and not require any tipping. Write and let us know what they do. That do you other readers think?
