Dear Vi,

Our restaurant automatically adds 15% gratuity to tables with 6 or more guests. The problem is this: we have a party of four who dine here regularly. It is against their belief to tip. They never tip. As a result, the waiters and waitresses are refusing to serve this table ot give them terrible service, at best. What should we do?

Dear Vinnie,

Part of me says, "That's the biz" and your waiters should be more professional. However, if I were you, I'd pay my waiters 15% each time these customers come in becasuse they deserve it and your guests will be happier. I hope more people don't start these shananigans.
