Our manager doesn't drink coffee and has little interest in serving what I'd consider a decent cup of coffee. I'm embarrassed by the brand that we have. How do you get through to these managers that just don't get it?

The best thing is to have the customers who complain to you tell the manager or host on duty what they think of your coffee, or ask them to write it on the guest check. Don't go rolling your eyes, hanging out the laundry for the guests. They really don't want you to know that your manager is a buffoon. Also try suggesting French Press. They are an inexpensive alternative to upgrade your coffee program.
