Salaam Namaste (Hi)!

    I am Shivakumar Jolad, one of the typical characters in Piled higher  and Deeper comics, who  is 'Patiently hoping for a Degree' (PhD) in Physics from Pennsylvania State University (PSU), University Park, USA.  For the academic community familiar with Physics, I am a Condensed Matter Theorist by specialization.  

    I  graduated with Masters in Physics from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. Well before that I too like million other Indians did Bachelors in Engineering. I did my undergraduate studies in Electronics and Communication from M.S Ramaiah Institute of Technology,  Bangalore, India.  In between I had a year long stunt doing B.Stat at ISI Calcutta- I cherish its memories for life.

    I hail from the then 'Garden city' and the present 'Silicon Valley ' of India  Bangalore, India. For the Bangi's (Bangaloreans), I should mention that I am an MESite (College) and VVSite(Schooling). Thus ends my academic history.
