I am a PhD candidate in Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State. I am part of The Intelligent Information Systems Research Laboratory. My advisor is prof. C. Lee Giles.

Prior to Penn State, I received two MS, one in Computer Science from Stanford University, and one in Language Technologies from Carnegie Mellon University. I received my BS in Computer Science, Economics and Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.

>>> Research Interests

My research interests include social network analysis, information retrieval, machine learning, natural language processing, and text mining. Currently, I am working on entity disambiguation and expert ranking in the CiteSeerX digital library.

In the past, I was part of the E-Rulemaking project at Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University with prof. Jamie Callan. There, I worked on near-duplicate and form-letter detection in public comments data. I also was part of the Computational Semantics Laboratory, at the Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI), Stanford University under the guidance of prof. Stanley Peters. At CSLI, I worked on developing a general purpose architecture for intelligent tutoring system.
