Thought to be the son of Roger Chandler and Isabella Chilton, whose father
James Chilton was a signer of the Mayflower compact. The Mayflower Society

[349] ROGER CHANDLER
[350]
From "The Descendants of Roger Chandler of Concord, Mass., 1658, by Charles H. Chandler, 1949. p. 23.
Member of the Train Band in Cambridge in 1664.
[351] Roger Chandler and twenty others of the Plymouth colony had a grant of 400 acres in Concord, Mass., in 1658.
[352] Roger was employed by Dolor Davis of Barnstable to build a house for him which was on the road from the road by the Barrett place northward to Carlisle and was burned out not many years ago.
[353] Traditions lead to the conclusion that he was one of those men invaluable to a new settlement and who had ability applicable to a wide variety of effort.
