Biography

I was born and raised in Maywood, Illinois. Maywood is a western suburb of Chicago, ten minutes from Downtown Chicago. I am the youngest of three siblings who all attended to Proviso East High School in Maywood. While at Proviso, I participated in many clubs and sports. I was Vice President of the National Honor Society, and a member of the math team, the National Society of Black Engineers, Energy-net, and my high school's attendance and tardiness committee. I was also captain on my high school’s football, wrestling, and track team.

I am currently a senior meteorology student at Pennsylvania State University. I came to Penn State because of its strong meteorology program. The program is one of the top programs in the nation, and approximately 1 out of 7 professional meteorologists come from Penn State.

I started school at Penn State in the summer of 2004 as a participant in the PREF program. PREF (PRE-First year engineering and science) was a very rigorous program that lasted six weeks and gave participants a rigorous introduction to college level physics, calculus, chemistry, and english. This program provided great preparation for the start of my college career.

Currently as a senior I have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.62 and a member of the Schreyer Honors College. I am also the current president of the Penn State Branch of the America Meteorological Society (PSUBAMS).
