        Rescue Childhood is Penn State's campus initiative for UNICEF.  The college organization is dedicated to making the world a better place for children.  Our group's work with Rescue Childhood involved the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign.  We solicited local businesses in the State College area and asked the store owners if they would put small orange UNICEF boxes on their cash registers for costumers to donate money to underprivileged children around the world.  Every week, each member of my group collected the money from the UNICEF boxes at their assigned businesses.  We had also hoped to be involved with visiting local elementary schools and teaching children the importance of their role in helping other children.  However, due to short notice, many local schools were not willing to participate.
