Living in Vancouver, there are many things I enjoy doing. One of my favorite things to do is hanging out with my friends in nice cars, racing and looking at ¡®fine¡¯ cars. Mercedes, BMW and Mustangs were all great cars that were in the movie 'Gone in 60 Seconds', which is one of my favorite Angelina Jolie movies. She is a sex symbol, a goddess almost and a rebel in the entertainment industry.
Jolie¡¯s parents are Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. She has a younger brother James Haven whom she has a close relationship with. It has been publicized that both James Haven and Angelina Jolie have been seen walking hand in hand as well as Jolie kissing her brother passionately.
In 1995 Jolie played a role in Hackers in 1995 is where Jolie met her first husband Jonny Lee Miller; made a career breakthrough in 1997 for George Wallace that gave Jolie a Golden Globe Award-Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for the Emmies. As well as George Wallace giving Jolie an award the movie Girl Interrupted gave Jolie a Golden Globe, SAG Award, and an Academy Award- Best Supporting Actress. Jolie is famous for playing is Laura Croft: Tomb Raider 1 &2. And a movie that has brought massive attention and controversy is the sexiest movie made, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Besides making movies, Jolie is known for tattoos, which some of her most famous tattoos includes a dragon, a black cross, the letter ¡®h¡¯ that represents her brother James Haven, the coordinates that show where she found Maddox and Zahara on her left forearm that covers up the ¡®Billy Bob¡¯ tattoo. A Japanese sign for ¡®Death¡¯, a Latin phrase, ¡®Quod me nutrit me destruit¡¯, which means ¡®what nourishes me also destroys me.¡¯ ¡®A prayer for the world at hear, kept in cages,¡¯ on her left arm a famous Tennessee Williams quote, She has a Buddhist Sanskrit prayer that was for Maddox on her back, ¡®Know your Rights¡¯ written on the back of her neck (which is my favorite tattoo of her), and a big tiger that almost covers half of her back and beneath the dragon. Jolie¡¯s tattoos I find very attractive, unique, solely her voicing out her personality. Her tattoos make her stand out of a crowd of elegant dressed woman at an Award show, or simply almost an ¡®accessory¡¯ to her daily outfits.
I don¡¯t find Jolie bizarre in anyway, or queer, more so different distinctive from a crowd. She would be collecting knives, having interest in mortuaries, wanting to be a funeral director as a child, and wearing her own husband¡¯s blood around her neck made the media to simply be interested and curious to her actions.
Jolie¡¯s physical beauty has also been driving people crazy, both her fans, and the paparazzis'. One of her most adored feature is her lips which is the most popular physical feature that all people envy. Besides her fascinations and looks, Jolie is also a mother of three kids. Maddox a Cambodian, Zahara Marley an Ethiopian child, and her own child, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie- Pitt.
Jolie is also involved in humanitarian work. While she was filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia she realized that tragic things were happening in the world around her. Jolie went to United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for more information about less unfortunate places around the world.
From then on, she would go to refugee camps, missions trips, visit many places like Kosovo, Kenya, Tanzania, Russia and more. In March of 2005, Jolie promoted the The National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children bill, and donated $500,000 for the first two years. She is also, involved in the political issues and makes sure that she can do what she can to help those who are in need. In December of 2005 President Bush signed a bill that was promoted by Jolie, The Unaccompanied Alien Child Protection Act that will give support to almost seventy million children but funding has not been granted to this Act.
Anglina Jolie may be the person that is not afraid to express her thoughts/ voice her opinion about particular matter, be a rebel within the entertainment industry or simply do queer things that would drive to publicity. But her effort and commitment in being a mother of three, and helping the world almost changing people¡¯s lives makes her incomparable to other actors/actresses around the world.
