Activities and Hobbies
As I have previously mentioned, I am absolutely in love with the outdoors. I joined the Outdoors Club on campus as an attempt to become more involved in outdoor activities. One of the trips we went on as a club was to the New River Gorge by Fayetteville in West Virginia, where we engaged in rock climbing as well as rappelling. This trip was the most fun I had all year! In the fall, we are planning on going white water rafting on the New River in the same area.
During my Spring semester of this year, I was inducted into the Gamma Theta chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau, one of the Greek organizations offered on the Behrend campus. As a sister in the sorority, I have made many lasting friendships and participated in various volunteer activities throughout the community, such as volunteering at the Children's Museum in Erie. Our National Philanthropy is Pine Mountain Settlement School, an environmental education center located in Kentucky. We are also actively involved in Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-A-Highway, and THON, Penn State's largest student-run philanthropy.
