Geography 121 Web Publishing Exercise

3rd Semester, Geography
I was born in Elizabethtown, PA on September 11, 1984. I have two sisters and a brother, all college graduates, and I grew up and lived in the same house my entire life. I attended Lancaster Catholic High School in Lancaster, PA where I was involved in various musical ensembles, Quiz Bowl and the varsity tennis team.
I began attending Penn State University in the fall of 2003. I began studies as a meteorology major but switched my focus toward geography at the end of spring 2004. The two courses that fueled my collegiate interest in geography were Colin Flint’s Geography 128 class and Risa Whitson’s Geography 020 class. I have decided to pursue geography as a major because of the quality of these classes and instructors.
A great deal of my interest in geography stems from my childhood. I always loved to read a road atlas whenever I got the chance, and frequently found myself giving my parents directions on family vacations. I would love to pursue a career in cartography or urban planning; also, the development and planning behind highways and roads interests me as well. As a result, signing up for Geography 121 was a no-brainer.
When I am not vigorously studying at college, I can be found listening to music or on the golf course: either playing poorly, or at work as a golf caddie. I also enjoy playing tennis at various levels of seriousness and competition.
