Using ANGEL

          Quizzes in ANGEL give students instant feedback on their performance. Homework quizzes (usually) allow them two attempts, so students are able to immediately recognize and work on their own problem areas. Quizzes follow the format of material presented in PowerPoint presentations; the questions therefore also mimic the format of the students' exams.

          The course web space offered by ANGEL creates a virtual classroom for the students. Students have access to all PowerPoints and class materials, as well as additional resources (using the Internet and otherwise) to work on and employ what they learn in class. The web space allows me as the instructor to communicate with my students through email or by posting to message boards, which also foster interaction and using the langauge among the students. ANGEL also maintains records of the students' performance on the online quizzes.
