    Groups for Playoffs Wednesday-Wild-Cup
    Overview
    Group Seed Team
11[6] Ferguson / Griffith [2] There will be 6 groups of 4 teams based on regular-season seedings from 1-24. The groups to the left are based on records/rules as of August 29th, the end of the regular season.
8 teams will advance to the finals, the 6 group winners plus 2 wildcards.
    • Matches cannot be tied — sudden death
    • No subs permitted
The first part of the playoffs is a round-robin where each team in a group plays every other team in the same group (3 matches). A team with a 3-0 record automatically wins the group and advances. Otherwise, any team with a 2-1 record has a chance of advancing as either the group winner or as a wildcard.

The 6 group winners and the 2 wildcards are then reseeded and these 8 teams will play a single-elimination playoff.

If a group has no 3-0 team, then the group winner comes from the 2-1 teams according to the following rules:

    • Head-to-head if two, 2-1 teams
    • Best head-to-head if three, 2-1 teams
    • Highest seed if 2-1 teams tied
All remaining 2-1 teams are eligible for the 2 wildcard positions. Wildcard advancement is by the following rules:
    • Regular season record against all 2-1 teams
    • Highest seed entering the round-robin
