We started our final day of the trip with a visit to the Aalsmeer Flower
Auction outside of Amsterdam. Five mornings a week, flowers get sold here
by the thousands and then are shipped by air to locations throughout Europe
and the United States, where they turn up in florists’ shops that
same day.
