We quickly found out that bicycles are a much more common means of transportation in the Netherlands than they are in the United States. Bikes are everywhere in Holland, and as a pedestrian you have to be alert or else they’ll run you over. In the background of this shot, taken near Amsterdam’s Centraal Station, is a multi-story parking garage just for bicycles.
