Prague Escapade

Here's a collection of photos from "Prague Escapade," a journey sponsored by the Penn State Alumni Association in early November 2003. The trip was offered in conjunction with Alumni Holidays Inc. and included passengers from other alumni associations as well: MIT, Johns Hopkins, Iowa, etc.

I have to say I was a little skeptical at first about what you could possibly do for a whole week in Prague. Hah! There is an enormous amount to see and do, it turns out. The architecture alone is fascinating, not to mention the history, the classical music, the crystal shops.... And the city is a photographer's dream, as you'll see.

Special thanks to one of our AHI guides, Alena Pazderova, for helping me identify some of the photos you'll see here. Alena was a terrific guide and I'd highly recommend her if you're ever planning a trip to Prague. (I'm sure the other AHI guides were great, too; it's just that I ended up in Alena's group, so she's the one I know.) Alena has a Web site at http://pazderova.guide-prague.cz. By the way, a good site for Prague information is the Prague Spot.
