Research Interests

I have been interested in animals my entire life and spent most of my childhood either reading about animals, wandering the woods and creek behind my house or taking care of the various pet reptiles that I have owned.  I am looking forward to helping out Chris Thawley this semester with his work on fence lizards (Sceloporus undulatus) eggs and fire ants (Solenopsis invicta) and I hope we can collect some solid data.  After graduation I plan to participate in the Peace Corps or Teach for America before heading off to graduate school to study biology or ecology.
