research interests

My research interests focus on the detection and characterization of exoplanets. As a graduate student at Ohio State I was responsible for designing the target selection, lightcurve processing, and candidate selection processes for the KELT-North transit survey, and then ran KELT-North's day-to-day data reduction and candidate follow-up coordination for three years. This led to the detection of KELT-North's first eight planets, as well as several interesting follow-up projects using the Spitzer Space Telescope and the Large Binocular Telescope.

Currently I am a CEHW post-doc at Penn State, where I have become interested in transiting brown dwarfs, and begun working on the MINERVA project. I have also continued to be involved in the discovery and follow-up of KELT-North planets.

My complete CV is linked to on the left side of this page.

I am also interested in space and general science policy.
