10-14-04: are my books not pretty enough?
"Books can be a design element in the home, if something beautiful is holding them up." (Stylish Stacks, Baltimore Sun (free registration required), 10/10/04)
Sadly, I don't have any of these symptoms right now. I also don't seem to suffer from compulsive blogging. Hang in there, dear reader, and all will become clear!
In the meantime, are you, or is someone you know, a literature abuser? [via 12 frogs]
Yep, I know fall started back in September. But my first post in the glorious month of October seems like a good time to celebrate the arrival of fall in central Pennsylvania. There is a pumpkin growing just outside my front door, next to the mailbox. It seems to have sprouted from seeds dropped by the previous tenant during a pumpkin-carving session two years ago. This is pretty much the extent of my gardening life so far, and I have to say, I'm pretty proud of it.
Now, if I were in lovely Vermont instead of central Pennsylvania, I would be able to enjoy the Rutland County Fall Tour of Libraries. Mmm, foliage, books, light refreshments... [via librarian.net]
25 days 'til Halloween!
