Jen Grossman
Hello and welcome to my e-portfolio. I am currently in my final year of my Masters degree program in College Student Affairs for Leadership and Administration at The Pennsylvania State University. As I approach graduation in May 2005 I am currently looking for my first professional position in Student Affairs.
Throughout my graduate program I have formulated my philosophy of Student Affairs. I have a strong belief in appreciating others' "worldview". I took this out of my undergraduate education and I have carried it with me during my graduate education and I will continue to carry it with me throughout my career. Most college students are for the first time meeting peers that look different, sound different, and behave differently. College is a time to learn from one another and grow from that knowledge. Student Affairs administrators should play the role of mentor and advocate for all of their students. We are here to help guide students through some of the most exciting years of their lives. I feel so passionately about being a positive role model for college students. College is a time to explore and learn about oneself and to discover where one fits in the world. What better way to spend one's life than to help the future leaders of our society during one of the most important periods of growth?
