Gamma Phi Beta was founded on November 11, 1874, at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York.  Today Gamma Phi Beta has over 150 collegiate chapters and approximately 150 alumnae groups across the United States and Canada, with over 130,000 members worldwide.  The Alpha Nu chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1929, at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Oh.

I joined Gamma Phi Beta as a new student during my second semester.  While I was a collegiate member I held 3 leadership positions.

Activities Chairperson - In charge of advertising for all sorority events (philanthropic, social, sisterhood)

Social Chairperson - Organized all social events (Formals, Semi-Formals, Socials)

Panhellenic Council Vice President - Organized Scholarship Desserts, Greek Open Houses, and Philanthropic events for the Greek community

As an alumni member, I currently serve as the Standards Committee Advisor for the Penn State Alpha Upsilon Chapter.
