Sue Dodson
I am a staff assistant in the Division of Undergraduate Studies. I work
closely with the First-Year Transition Program (FTP), which
includes Provisional students, the Educational Opportunity
Program (EOP), and students from metropolitan areas. This program provides a
variety of student support services.
In the fall, I co-coordinate The Major Event of the Year, an
academic fair to assist students in choosing a major. Spring is the time for
ACME, the Altoona College Majors Expo which showcases the Altoona
majors. In the summer, I assist with the First-Year Testing, Counseling &
Advising Program (FTCAP) for all incoming first-year students.
My husband's name is Tim and we have two children, Amy and Kenny.
I enjoy going camping, walking, hiking outdoors, and shopping at outlet
stores. I volunteer for the Altoona Area High School volleyball team; which my son is
a volleyball player, and my husband is a volunteer assistant coach.
At Penn State Altoona, I am co-captain of the Penn State Altoona MS Walk-A-Thon
team.
I also volunteer for the Blair County Arts Festival, the
African-America Heritage Festival, and the Blair County United Way.
