I’ve been making photographs for over 40 years.  Using a camera remains part of a daily practice.  My work ranges from marketing,  advertising, and documentary assignments at Penn State to personal work that takes shape in prints, blogs, and video.  The links to the right offer a glimpse of that work.

The camera is a tool for me to mine experience. I can't pinpoint the moment photography stopped being about form, when my concern for perfection dissolved and the image became a form of evidence. I still experience the subtle lure of machine and process, of the perfect reproduction of negative on paper, but it doesn't last.

For the past few years I have used the camera to question my reactions to the world in which I live. And I live in a rather small space, a small home in a small town, a quiet job and a small group of people I call friends and family. I realize that I will never exhaust questions or answers in this small landscape.
