Asthma Clinical Research Network
The Asthma Clinical Research Network (ACRN) was established in 1993 by the Division of Lung Diseases (DLD), National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI). It is a multi-center group designed to conduct multiple studies of a single disease, namely, asthma. The ACRN is dedicated to conducting well designed clinical trials for rapid evaluation of new and existing therapeutic approaches for asthma and for dissemination of laboratory and clinical findings to the health care community. Six Clinical Centers and one Data Coordinating Center (DCC) currently comprise the Network.
