~ My life's goal is to work in as many areas of agriculture
as possible so that I "personally" understand how important agriculture
is.

Welcome! I work for Penn State, enjoy horse backriding, running, biking and XC skiing (and gardening) in my free time. I am the current president of the Penn State Horticulture Alumni Group and a member of the local Search and Rescue group called CREST. My husband Gary and I have two horses, two dogs, and a few barn cats. Check out my Home
Life Page! Check out photos of our new farm. Philadelphia Flower Show 2009 PHOTOS Recent Trip to Assateague Island --- with the horses! As a native to Pennsylvania (Erie), I have found State College to be a great place to live (cool summers, snow in the winter, great for road bicycling and lots of woodlands for running, mtn. biking and cross country skiing). As you might have already guessed ~ outdoor activities are a major part of my life! I first came to this area in the late 1980's to finish my bachelor's degree in Horticulture. I came back in 1994 with my husband Gary to pursue my Ph.D. and am still here. I work for the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State as one of the Web Developers for the college. I work in the Ag Communications and Marketing Unit. Much of my job involves working with different content management systems (RedDot and Plone) as well as Dreamweaver to create, redesign or update college web sites.
