~ My life's goal is to work in as many areas of agriculture
as possible so that I "personally" understand how important agriculture
is.

Welcome! I work for Penn State, enjoy horse backriding, running, biking and XC skiing (and gardening) in my free time. I am the current president of the Penn State Horticulture Alumni Group (volunteering my time teaching horticulture classes, making (and selling) corsages for various events and keeping its Web site up to date). My husband Gary and I have one horse and three dogs. Check out my Home
Life Page! Check out photos of a recent horse back ride. As a native to Pennsylvania (Erie), I have found State College to be a great place to live (cool summers, snow in the winter, great for road bicycling and lots of woodlands for running, mtn. biking and cross country skiing). As you might have already guessed ~ outdoor activities are a major part of my life! I first came to this area in the late 1980's to finish my bachelor's degree in Horticulture. I came back in 1994 with my husband Gary to pursue my Ph.D. and am still here. I work for the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State as the Web Coordinator for the entire college. I am part of the ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) unit. About half of my job is overseeing the college Web presence and providing Web support for college staff, while the other half is working on the development and implementation of a new content management system for the College.
