State College, Pa., Jan. 23, 2002 -- Katie Glusko gave them fits with her points and Susie Sieminski put the clamps on their leading scorer as State College posted its ninth straight win and 14th overall after a 60-48 victory at Hollidaysburg.
Glusko had 15 of her 25 points in the second half as the Lady Little Lions pulled away from a disappointing 21-point first half offensive effort .
Sieminski showed why she's one of the top defenders in the state by holding Hollidaysburg's leading scorer Lauren Lingenfelter to two points in the first half and nine total in the game.
"We certainly wanted to shut down their strengths which is Lingenfelter and (Rachael) Degol," State College coach Bethany Irwin said. "I think Susie Sieminski did an outstanding job in the second quarter."
The low-scoring first half worked in Hollidaysburg's favor as the Lady Tigers enjoyed a 15-10 advantage in the first quarter. State College came back in the second stanza to lead 21-19 at the break limiting Hollidaysburg to four points which were all scored by Allison Hall.
The score was tied three times in the third quarter, the last at 29 on a Degol bucket with 3:37 remaining, before Glusko, Sieminski and Carlson staked State College to a 35-31 lead.

By the time the game clock showed 2:50 remaining, the Lady Tigers were counting on State College misses at the free throw line. Glusko, Carlson and Sieminski combined to swish eight straight from the charity stripe snuffing out Hollidaysburg's last chance.
Hall scored a team-high 13 points before fouling out at 3:08 on a personal on Sieminski. Lingenfelter also left the game in the fourth quarter at the 1:12 mark with a knee injury.
In addition to Glusko, State College's top scorers were Carlson with 12 points and Sieminski and Nicole Scipione with eight points.
