    Advice From The Experts

    Chris Anderson

    Shelly Poe

Nebraska's Chris Anderson and West Virginia's Shelly Poe have taken teams to bowl games with national championships on the line. Anderson builds her media relations' efforts on guidelines spelled out in her Husker Media Handbook. Poe believes a good relationship with athletic trainers is a must when SIDs must share information on injuries with the sports media. Here's what these two FAME veterans have to say.

  • Nebraska's Media Handbook
Nebraska's media handbook  requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't already have it, download and install it to read this guide.

  • The Trainer and the SID West Virginia SID Shelly Poe encourages cooperation between media relations executives and team trainers in FAME's latest Voices.

  • Fact Sheet on CoSIDA's Awards CoSIDA annually invites nominations for special awards. All nominations and supporting material go to Third VP Tammy Boclair at Vanderbilt. Here's the fact sheet on all awards. You'll need Acrobat Reader. There's a free download on this page.

  • ECAC-SIDA Job Seekers Guide
Members of ECAC-SIDA have published a job-seekers' guide for internships and assistantships. FAME's Ann King sent us the information and we're sharing it with you. You'll need Adobe Acrobat to read the 16-page document.
