Michael J. Dooris Executive Director, Office of Planning and Institutional Assessment Affiliate Associate Professor of Higher Education The Pennsylvania State University Reporting
to the Executive Vice President and Provost, I support university-level planning
and decision-making through leadership of the Office of Planning and
Institutional Assessment. I’ve been at Penn State since 1981 in a variety of
positions, including in the university budget office and in undergraduate
education. Previously, I worked as a statistician at the U.S. Census Bureau
and in industry. I’m an affiliate associate professor in Penn State’s higher
education graduate program. I’ve consulted on strategic planning and
institutional research in Europe, Africa, and the United States and was a CIC
Academic Leadership Fellow in 1997-98. In 2010 I completed a Fulbright
fellowship in Brazil. I have a Ph.D. in higher education from Penn State, an
M.B.A from the University of Rhode Island, and a B.S. in economics from Penn
State.
