Tying Instructions

Select proper hook, remove barb, and secure in vise .

Attach thread 25% behind eye of hook. Wind back to bend of hook.

3. Dub fur on thread and/or wind body material forward 75% of hook shank. Taper body from tail to head.
4. Dub fur on thread and/or wind body material forward 66% of hook shank. Taper body from tail to head.
5. Select hen hackle 1 to 1½ x gap of the hook. Tie in hackle by tip, concave/dull side in towards the hook. Wrap thread forward, almost to the eye of the hook. Let bobbin hang.
6. Wind hackle forward, leaving adequate room at the eye to build up thread for a head. Tie off with a whip finish.

Tail = material, Body = quill, synthetic, natural
** Add wings to improve silhouette & performance 

Style Variations:

No Hackle, Compara Dun, Parachute
