Waders or hip boots – with felt soles, if
possible.
Hat – baseball or brimmed types.
Polarized sunglasses – prescription or flip-up.
Vest with ample packets. Include the

Since the vest is designed to be worn while you
fish, try to organize it while you have it on you.This should speed up the process of becoming familiar with
each pocket’s contents.
Rod – start with an 8 or 8˝ foot, 5 or 6
weight rod.
Reel and line should balance rod (Suggestion:
start with double-tapered floating line).
