Top newcomers for the 1999-2000 season include:

6'2" Luke Creswell from Southern Huntingdon High. Luke scored over 2,000 points in his high school career and was named to the second team AP small school Pa. All State Team.

Ronnie Mills a 6' 7" 225 lb. big man from Newark N.J. Ronnie played at Gill St. Bernards High School in New Jersey. Ronnie was the leading scorer and rebounder on his team. Ronnie comes to Penn State Altoona as an engineering major with a high school grade point average of 3.7.

Another top recruit for the up coming season is Eric Confer out of Milton Hershey School in Hershey,Pa. "Eric is the Dave Cowens of Division III Basketball," says Macklin. "Eric is an undersized left handed post player with plenty of hustle and moxie. Eric can get out on the perimeter defensively and challange smaller players. Eric will rebound and run the floor filling the lanes on the break. He isn't afraid to dive on the floor for lose balls or take the charge. He also has a strong desire to win."

Aaron Close is from Berkley Springs, W. Va. "At 6' 4", Aaron is going to provide us with the type of team player that will help us in a lot of different areas," Macklin said. "Aaron is a good passer and can hit the open jumper," says Macklin.

Eugene Ahmad is 6'4" 195lbs swing man transfering in from Penn State Abington. At PSU Abington, Eugene lead his team in scoring and rebounding with averages of 19.3 ppg and 10.5 rpg. Eugene was selected as 1st Team All Conferance and selected as his team's MVP. "Eugene will provide us with some maturity, he is a good team player, who can score from inside and out within the framwork of the offense," said Macklin.

Kenney Edwards is a 5' 11" 165 lbs. guard from Parsippany Hills High School out of Parsippany New Jersey. Kenney guided his high school team to a 22-4 record. Parsippany Hills won the Morris County Basketball Championship and advanced to the Group 3 State Finals. Kenney averaged 10 points per game along with 3.3 assists, 3 steals and 4 rebounds per outing. Kenney was selected as his team's MVP and Tri-Captain. Macklin believes that Kenney will bring in a winning attitude and some quickness in the backcourt.
