Kathy and Dee at Cedar Creek, VA reenactment 1999.
Tired from a long hard day on the battlefield.
Cedar Creek is usually good for some hard riding with its hilly and in some
places rocky terrain. Then there's the big creek at the bottom of 2 hills which we cross often. Too big and deep to jump,
the horses tried their best not to get sucked into the muck that resulted from too much traffic through it. By the end
of the day it was quite the challenge. It's amazing what horses will do in the face of danger and fear of being left
behind. Adrenalin helps.

This is a comical photo of Dee and I at Cedar Creek. It looks like Dee is saying something amusing and I am trying
hard not to laugh for the photo.
I was proud of our challenging performance that day on the battlefield. Sometimes I
look back on that day and wonder how crazy we were to do such all-out risky riding at that event. My little mare Dee
gave it all she got and kept up with the big boys. Who says a barely 14.3 hand Quarter Horse mare can't do it doesn't
know my Deezy! Maybe Dee is commenting on that in this photo, hehe....no wonder I love this mare so much, we are a lot
alike, 2 small females in a world of big males, that doesn't bother us, no!
