My Years as a "Civil War Trooper" :

I spent 4 full event-filled years as a Civil War Cavalry Trooper along with my husband Pat and our horses. It was the most exciting period of my life, traveling all over the eastern US reenacting the life of the Cavalry. I earned the affectionate nickname "Spooner" from my Commander, a nickname and persona by which most of the eastern Cavalry reenactors grew to know very well. Here are some photos of our adventures. Please enjoy. Huzzah!

Our unit would take a spell under the copse of trees in the field near the PA Memorial. The shade was a welcome rest from under the hot humid sun of southern PA.
