This is Luger!
We adopted Luger in December 2003. He is a purebred black German Shepherd. The picture on the left is from the Humane Society in Altoona where we adopted him. He is 1 year old and a big sweetie.

Luger keeping my old Buddy company...
This is Buddy
Buddy is my first German Shepherd. She is 13 years old in this snowy photo and still doing well for her age. She is a true sweetheart and I'll probably never find another one like her. Buddy has now passed on and I still miss her.
I named her after the first Seeing Eye dog, a German Shepherd named Buddy in the 1920's. There is a book published about this wonderful dog. I had seen a movie on TV when I was a kid about his story and it touched me greatly. I vowed then that I would one day have a wonderful Shepherd and would name him or her (her in this case) Buddy.
