BOBBY (Pepos Bobby)

Bobby joined our herd in November 1998. He is a pretty sorrel AQHA Quarter Horse gelding descended from the famous Leo (he looks a lot like his great grandsire). He's 15 hands tall and built like the foundation-bred Quarter Horse he is. Bobby came to us from Indiana but he's lived in other places much farther west where he was a ranch horse. His western training is evident.

We used Bobby for Civil War battle reenactments and a cavalry demonstration for a school in 1999. He adjusted quickly to all the unusual sights and sounds and activity. He took to the shooting right away although he'd rather be close to his "buddies" but will go where asked. Bobby can be fast if need be and is very agile. He ran circles around the Confederate horses in saber battles. His cutter training came in handy!
We also used Bobby for trail riding up until the last year or so when pregnancy and birth of our child kept us from riding.

Bobby is a very friendly horse and likes attention but is very respectful. He gets along well with all the other horses too. He is in great shape for his age. He's a very easy keeper and has not had any problems or vices.
