Assessment of Entering Students' Use of Information Technology
First-Year Testing, Counseling and Advising Program 2000

To assess entering students' use of information technology, we surveyed students who attended the First-Year Testing, Counseling and Advising Program. Students were asked to complete a short paper and pencil survey the day of their advising.

The vast majority of students own and use computers. They are familiar with using E-mail and with using the Web for school assignments. In contrast, few students have their own Web sites.
