It is very detailed and if you take the time to review it carefully and read it several times, you will find almost every answer for every question you could think of. Its main thrust is to standardize transactions and code sets for Medicare and Medicaid programs and other Federal health programs and private health programs. There are exact definitions throughout the document to aid in understanding the health care system.
