Stamp inscribed "Chelonoides nigra" the new genus and species to which this tortoise has been refered by some taxonomists. Country name inscribed on stamp is "Republique du Congo" This could represent the People's Republic of Congo or the Congo Democratic Republic which are two different countries. Or, it may be a Cinderella that wasn't authorized by either country.
