Dart Board |
I doubled the film ASA (400 to 800, I think) and took a picture of the dart board using available lighting. I threw the 'double-exposure' switch on my camera. I then focused on a place about arm's distance away, held the camera away from me, and took my picture.
This photo summed up how I was feeling at this point in my life. Hated my job. Just divorced. On and on and.... I'm feeling much better now!

Pouring Coffee |
I doubled the ASA and, using a tripod, positioned myself on the left holding a cup of coffee. My assistant, the world-famous Walkin' Talkin' Dave Boughton, used the black light switch in the background for positioning. He then took the picture. I stood on the right with the coffee pot and Dave up/down/left/right-ed me until he thought it was correct.
We came pretty close on this one. The doors provided a dark background that makes the images more solid (not ghost-like). If we had thought to take the paper off of the door on the right, it would have been a better effect. Next time....

My Buddy, Arlo |
This is my buddy, Arlo. In the orignial photo he is about 1 year old. In the MouseOver photo he is 12.
This is just 2 photos and MouseOver code.

Arlo Takin' a Break |
This is a photo of Arlo on the chair and then in the garden tub. He liked to cool off on hot days.
This is just 2 photos and MouseOver code.

Apocalypse Now! |
I doubled the ASA and took the background picture of the power plant during the daytime (around 2:00 PM). I threw the switch on my camera and put it away for the day. At about 3:00 AM the next morning (long day!), I got out a calendar of Tolkien-related art and took the picture of Gandalf, the wizard.

Sharks Plaque |
Yes. I know this isn't a photo, but I thought it was kind of creative for a project where no one knew what they wanted. I am known as an idea kinda guy, so someone came to me saying she wanted something to commemorate the departure of a colleague. The norm at this time was for the office to buy the departee a PSU Nittany Lion statue. That's OK, but it's predictable. The only thing I had to work with was that the person leaving was the fire behind the office softball team (the OSA Loan Sharks) and she was of Italian descent.
I came up with the lion statue parody from a throw back maybe to my MAD magazine days. I purchased the materials, laid out the design and printed the placards in front (brown parchment paper that was laminated on). My friend Woodrow (Dan) Wray, who is a fine wood artisian, then cut, stained, glued, and assembled the plaque. We presented it to her at her going away breakfast. I think she was touched by what the front said. "Il Sharko di Tutti Sharki". I came up with this variation of the Italian saying "Il Capo di Tutti Capi" (The Boss of All Bosses). She displays her sharks plaque beside her lion statue. She really was "The Shark of All Sharks".

| John |
This was simply a photo of my friend, JWally, standing with a gorgeous woman somewhere in Hawaii. He wanted to put it on his Web page, so I helped him link and FTP everything.
I then grabbed it and copy & pasted his head onto the girl's body in LViewPro. I did it for laughs. I'm funny that way!

Middle Earth |
I scanned a picture from a Tolkien biography and copy & pasted my head onto it. I know this one needs work, but I think it has some bizarre potential.

Matt & Pap |
I scanned both pictures and copy & pasted them in Photoshop. I positioned Matt on our couch based on the angle that Pap was at in the original photo. I'm working on getting the granularity out of this image, but I'm new to Photoshop, so it may take some time.

On the Beach |
My daughter, Sadie, is the little girl with the flowers. That's me next to my Pap on the left. I was about 11 or so.
I scanned both pictures and copy & pasted them in Photoshop.

Pap at Our Wedding |
Pap always seemed to be in the picture somewhere.
I scanned both pictures and copy & pasted them in Photoshop.

Matt & the Magic Balloon |
This was taken at my brother's wedding. Matt is the one stylin' in his new sport jacket.
I superimposed my head onto the balloon in Photoshop and put the MouseOver code in the page.

An Artists View of Arlo |
This is photo of Arlo walking through the living room. I applied a 'Fresco' filter in Photoshop.

My camera |
I use a Canon A-1 camera that has a 'double-exposure' switch on it. It simply disengages the teeth that advance the film inside the camera and resets the shutter. |
