ADVISORY COUNCIL

To ensure that the issues we explore are those that are at the forefront of the hotel industry’s concerns, we developed an Advisory Council, comprised of hotel industry thought leaders, experts and professionals who provide first-hand insight and advice as to the direction of our research and its findings.

With advisory support (no financial support as this is an independent foundation and federally funded project) from companies such as Starwood, Marriott, Interstate Hotels and Resorts as well as members of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the council has provided us with an unparalleled glance into the issues that face major hotel organizations today (i.e. management turnover, productivity, scheduling, etc)

By continuing to work with our Advisory Council, we are provided with numerous opportunities with which to disseminate our findings and show various possibilities for improving the hotel industry’s approach to work-life issues.

The Advisory Council is comprised of

the following members:

· Joanne Budge, Director of Human Resources, Four Seasons Hotel, New York.

· Bill Hanley, Sentry Hospitality

· Donna Klein, President and CEO of Corporate Voices for Working Families

· Nina Madoo, Director of Workplace Strategies, Marriott International, Inc.

· Joseph McInerney, President and CEO, American Hotel & Lodging Association

· David Scypinski, Senior Vice President, Industry Relations, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide

· Lance Shaner, Chairman and CEO, Shaner Companies.
