English 191: Science Fiction (1 section)

English 191 is an introductory science fiction course for freshmen through seniors.

English 202A: Writing for the Social Sciences (3 sections)

English 202A is designed for students in the social sciences. Research strategies and assignments are created with the goal of teaching students how to produce the types of critical reading, writing, and thinking they will use in their future careers. My sections of 202A focus on the principles of ethnographic writing. [Sample Syllabus]

English 202C: Technical Writing (1 section)

This course is designed for students preparing for careers in scientific and technical disciplines.[Sample Syllabus]

English 15: Rhetoric and Composition (4 sections)

A writing course for first-year students, this course is based on Aristotelian rhetorical principles and focuses on sensitivity to audience and purpose. My sections of this course are geared toward critical thinking about culture with an emphasis on both written and visual rhetoric.

Pre-First Year in Engineering and Science (PREF): Introduction to Rhetoric and Composition (2 sections)

Sponsored by the Multicultural Engineering Program, PREF is a summer bridge program in which entering first year students take preparatory courses in Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

English 5: Writing Tutorial

This one credit tutorial is available for students who need or want additional instruction in Rhetoric and Composition. It is offered through Penn State's Undergraduate Writing Center.
