Today, I attended the Pennsylvania State University's Forum series where FBI Director, aka the guy in charge of the entire FBI, Robert S. Mueller III spoke about cyber security. He looked just like he did on Wikipedia! Anyway, his speech was very interesting and informative. I thought his analogy of the Internet as the roads in Rome was excellent. In the times of the Roman Empire, the Romans built roads to every place they conquered, which at the time seemed as though the entire world. Thus the saying, "All roads lead to Rome." However, it was by these roads that invaders could easily travel to the city gates of Rome and bring down the Roman Empire. The same danger is facing the United States, but the road is the Internet. The FBI also referenced a YouTube video called Did You Know? Well, here it is:
The video is very well done and thought provoking. The United States better get a move on if it hopes to stay competitive with other countries.

It is truely a thought provoking video.. I just did a blog post on it last week and was proud that it was referenced by the leader
of the FBI. It made me feel like I was "in the loop". This video was done in in '06, and this one here was done this year with a few updated statistics. Definitely worth a view!
