Here are a few of my beliefs that shape my teaching style.

Anybody can master basic mathematics.
Mathematics is as much about confidence as competence.
There is no substitute for practice when it comes to learning mathematics.
90% of all math difficulties in low-level math classes can be solved by students learning to treat mathematics as a language, and learning to communicate and operate within the rules of that language (e.g. use equal signs where they belong).
